For sports day we completed a colour run and explored our outside area. We all had lots of fun and listened excellently.

The children visited The Chalet school main site for a whole school transition afternoon this term and visited their new classes. The children really enjoyed having playtime with their peers at the main site and enjoyed exploring the playgrounds.

This term we also visited Coate Water for our annual ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’. All the children really enjoyed their turn on the miniature railway and their ice lolly. During the day we played lots of chase games with our peers and enjoyed the sunshine.

In cooking we have explored food from around the UK. We have been exploring British fruits, biscuits and dairy products. We also really enjoyed making our own milkshakes.

As the weather has warmed up, we have also enjoyed lots of water play and especially getting to play in our paddling pool with our friends. We were also lucky to have some volunteers from St James Place come and plant us some new plants in our garden. We even played a game of Hokey Cokey with them to say thank you!

Well done Whale Class on an amazing final term. We are all very proud of you and everything you have achieved. It has been a pleasure to see you thrive in your first year at Chalet school and we are excited to see you in September. Have a lovely summer break 😊

During the day we looked at different cause and effect toys, explored the iPads apps safely with an adult, used our remote-control cars and listened to a sensory story about how to stay safe online. The adults modelled the signs ‘safe’ and ‘help’ to support our understanding whilst using these technology devices.
